Yuju (Korean: 유주; Japanese: ユジュ) is a South Korean singer, songwriter and composer under KONNECT Entertainment. She is a former member of the girl group GFRIEND.

She released her first solo digital single "Love Rain" on June 29, 2018 before making her official solo debut with her first mini album, [Rec.], on January 18, 2022.[1]


2015: Debut with GFRIEND

She debuted as a member of GFRIEND on January 16, 2015 with the group's first mini album Season of Glass.

2018: First solo release

On June 29, 2018, Yuju released her first solo digital single "Love Rain", which featured Suran.

2021: Departure from Source Music, new agency

On May 18, it was announced from Tenasia that all members of GFRIEND, including Yuju, have decided to not renew their contracts with the agency. They officially disbanded on May 22 after the end of their exclusive six-year contract.

On September 1, it was announced that Yuju has signed an exclusive contract with KONNECT Entertainment.[2]

2022: Solo debut with Rec.

On January 2, it was announced that Yuju would make her solo debut with her first mini album [Rec.] on January 18.[3]
