Yujeong (유정; formerly known as LeeYo) is a South Korean singer. She is the leader of the girl group LABOUM and a former member of the project duo Ab Avenue.
She is also known for being a contestant on the survival show The Unit.
Career[]
2010–2012: Ab Avenue[]
On May 6, 2010, she made her debut as a member of the duo Ab Avenue with their fourth single "Only You".[2]
The duo presumably disbanded in late 2012 due to inactivity.
2014: Debut with LABOUM[]
On August 28, 2014, Yujeong debuted as a member of LABOUM with the group's first single "Petit Macaron".
2017: The Unit[]
In October 2017, she, alongside fellow members ZN and Haein, became contestants on the survival show The Unit. She ranked 20th place in the semi-final, thus being unable to debut with UNI.T.[3]
2021: Departure from LABOUM[]
On September 8, 2021, Yujeong posted a handwritten letter stating that she would be leaving the group after her contract expired on August 27 and she decided not to renew. She also revealed that the other four members had renewed their contracts.[4]
2022: Return to LABOUM[]
On November 26, 2022, Yujeong participated in Soyeon's solo fanmeeting, which indicated her potential return to LABOUM. She also revealed that the group would have a mini concert held on February 23, 2023.[5]
2024–2025: MBK Company[]
On December 28, 2024, it was reported that Yujeong had signed an exclusive contract with MBK Company.[6]
On March 26, 2025, MBK Company announced that Yujeong's exclusive contract with them will end on April 1.[7]
