Yugyeom (유겸) is a South Korean singer-songwriter under AOMG. He is the maknae of the boy group GOT7 and one half of the duo Jus2.
He made his solo debut on June 17, 2021 with his first EP Point of View: U.
Career[]
2014: GOT7[]
On January 16, he made his official debut as a member of the boy group GOT7, with the mini album Got It?.
2016: Hit the Stage[]
In 2016, he became a contestant on Mnet's dance survival contest Hit the Stage. He finished the show in first place.
2019: Jus2[]
On March 5, he debuted as one half of the duo Jus2, along with his fellow leader JB, with the mini album Focus.
2020: King of Mask Singer[]
In 2020, he appeared in the singing competition show King of Mask Singer as the masked singer 'Raspberry Wine' and showcased his sweet and clean voice as he sang J.Y. Park's "I Have a Girl". He lost in the first round with a one-vote difference.[1]
2021: Departure from JYP Entertainment, new agency, solo debut with Point Of View: U[]
On January 10, it was reported by Dispatch that all GOT7 members would be leaving JYP Entertainment after 7 years of contract, with the 35th Golden Disc Awards being their last activity as a group.[2] On January 11, JYP Entertainment officially announced that the members will be leaving the agency as their contract expires on January 19.[3]
AOMG started teasing their next new artist on February 17.[4] On February 19 at 12PM KST, that artist was revealed to be Yugyeom with the release of a dance video to Travis Scott's "Franchise"[5], as the company announced that Yugyeom had officially signed with them.[6]
On June 3, music officials reported that Yugyeom would make his solo debut in mid-June with a release made in collaboration with labelmate Gray.[7] On the same day, a first teaser was released. Following teasers revealed that there would be releases on both June 11 and June 17. The album's name, Point of View: U, was revealed with the track list on June 7.[8] The track "I Want U Around" and its accompanying music video were pre-released on June 11. The album as a whole as well as its title track "All Your Fault" were released on June 17.
2022: "Take You Down"[]
On March 29, Yugyeom announced he will release his second digital single, "Take You Down", on March 31.[9]
2023: "Ponytail", "Lolo"[]
On December 26, 2022, Yugyeom announced he will release his third digital single, "Ponytail", on January 2.[10]
On July 19, Yugyeom announced he will release his fourth digital single, "Lolo", on July 24.[11]
2024: "La Sol Mi", Trust Me[]
On January 16, Yugyeom announced he will release his first full-length album, Trust Me, on February 21.[12] "La Sol Mi" was pre-released on January 31.
