Yu Soohyun (유수현) is a South Korean singer under CMG Stars. She is the leader of the girl group MINIMANI and a former member of the girl groups Walwari, May Queen, FLASHE, and Delight.

She made her solo debut on March 1, 2023 with the digital single "Chuk & Chak".

She is also known for being a contestant on the reality trot competition show, Trot Contest.

2013–2018: Delight, FLASHE, May Queen[]

In October 2013, Soohyun, then known as SooA, joined the girl group Delight as a late addition. She made her official debut with the girl group with the release of their second mini album, School Bell's Ringing. She left the following year for unknown reasons.

Later on in 2017, Soohyun went onto join FLASHE, but unfortunately left the group prior to the release of "FLASHE Season Album", hence never officially debuting with the girl group.

2019–present: Walwari and MINIMANI, solo debut[]

Sometime in 2019, Soohyun joined the co-ed trio group, Walwari, and made her debut with them on May 13, 2019 for the release of their fifth digital single, "Oppa is Cheating". Since the singles release, Walwari has not released any new songs and is presumed to have disbanded or gone inactive, nonetheless, it is known that Soohyun is no longer a member as she was revealed by CMG Stars to be a trainee under their agency.^[4]

In November, 2020, Soohyun was revealed as an upcoming contestant in the reality trot competitive show, Trot Contest.^[5] She was eventually eliminated from the competition in Episode 5.^[6]

On November 26, 2020, CMG Stars revealed that Soohyun will be a member and the leader of their upcoming girl group, MINIMANI.^[7] She made her debut with the girl group on June 2, 2021 with the release of their first digital single, "Stop".^[8]

On February 14, 2023, it was announced that Soohyun will make her solo debut on March 1 with the her first digital single, "Chuk & Chak". She will also hold a showcase titled "The Realization" on the same day.^[9]
