Young K (영케이; also known as Brian) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, musician, rapper, host and DJ under JYP Entertainment. He is the bassist of the boy band DAY6 and its sub-unit DAY6 (Even of Day).
He made his solo debut with his first mini album Eternal on September 6, 2021.
Career[]
2015: Debut with DAY6[]
He officially debuted as the bassist of South Korean rock band DAY6 on September 7, 2015.
2021: Solo debut with Eternal[]
On August 16, 2021, JYP Entertainment confirmed that Young K is preparing for his solo debut.[1] On the same day, Young K announced in a V Live broadcast that he would be releasing his solo debut mini album, Eternal on September 6, ahead of his military service.[2]
2023: Letters With Notes[]
On July 30, 2023, a first teaser was posted on DAY6's official social media accounts announcing that Young K would be making his first-ever solo comeback since his discharge from the military service with his first full-length album Letters With Notes on September 4.[3] "Let It Be Summer" was pre-released on August 25.

Education[]
He attended York Mills Collegiate Institute in Toronto, in Canada, for high school during 4 years. He is currently studying Business Administration at Dongguk University in Seoul.[4]
Military service[]
Young K enlisted in the army as a member of the KATUSA (Korean Augmentation To the United States Army) on October 12, 2021.[5] He was discharged on April 11, 2023.[6]
