Yoonjo (윤조) is a South Korean singer and actress under Y-Bloom Entertainment. She is a former member of the girl group HELLOVENUS and project girl group UNI.T.
Career[]
Pre-debut[]
Yoonjo, along with future fellow HELLOVENUS member Yoo Ara, were members of Pledis Entertainment's trainee group Pre-School Girls. The group was made up of female trainees who would potentially join After School.[1] However, neither girl would debut with the group.
2012–2014: HELLOVENUS[]
Yoonjo debuted as a member of HELLOVENUS on May 9, 2012 with the group's first mini album Venus.
On July 31, 2014, it was announced that Pledis Entertainment and Fantagio Music, which had collaborating to manage HELLOVENUS, would be ending their merger. Yoonjo, along with Yoo Ara, would leave the group to rejoin Pledis Entertainment.[2]
2016-2017: Label changes[]
In later 2016, Yoonjo was listed in Sublime Artist Agency's official website as a model, indicating that she has signed with the company and confirming her departure from Pledis Entertainment.[3] She stayed with the agency until early 2017.[4]
On April 7, 2017, Yoonjo appeared in a video posted by Ssong Actors, hinting that she has left Sublime Artist Agency.[5]
2017–2018: The Unit, UNI.T[]
In October 2017, Yoonjo became a contestant on the idol rebooting show The Unit. She ranked 4th place out of all the female contestants, thus becoming a member of UNI.T.[6]
UNI.T made their official debut on May 18, 2018 with their first mini album Line. The group would disband later that year on October 12.
2022: New agency[]
On January 6, 2022, Yoonjo signed an exclusive contract with Y-Bloom Entertainment.[7]

On September 11, 2023, Yoonjo announced her upcoming marriage to actor Kim Dong-ho via Instagram.[8] On November 10, Kim Dong-ho's agency announced that the couple will be getting married privately on November 19.[9]
