Yiyeon (이연) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and rapper. She is a former member of the girl groups BVNDIT and 1PS.
Career[]
2015: 1PS[]
Following the departure of member Jieun, in 2015, Yiyeon was introduced as the newest member of the girl group 1PS under her real name Dasol. She was a member of 1PS until their disbandment sometime in the same year. However, she never made her official debut with them.[citation needed]
2019–2022: BVNDIT[]
On March 11, 2019, Yiyeon was announced as the second member of BVNDIT.[1] They debuted on April 10, 2019 with the digital single "BVNDIT, Be Ambitious!".
On November 11, 2022, MNH Entertainment announced that the group had officially disbanded after the members' exclusive contracts were terminated at the end of October 2022.[2]
2023: GIRL'S RE:VERSE, "It's Been Forever"[]
On October 26, 2022, characters for the virtual survival show GIRL'S RE:VERSE were revealed with Ujewel (유주얼) speculated to belong to Yiyeon.[3]
Ujewel would then be eliminated on the fifth episode where it was confirmed that Ujewel was Yiyeon's character.[4] On January 21, 2023, Yiyeon penned a letter to fans regarding her participation in the survival show.
On May 19, 2023, it was revealed that Yiyeon would be releasing a collaboration with Roden titled "It's Been Forever" on May 20.[5]
