Yerin (Korean: 예린; Japanese: イェリン) is a South Korean singer-songwriter under Bill Entertainment. She is a member of the girl group GFRIEND and former member the pre-debut team i-Teen.
She made her solo debut on May 18, 2022 with the mini album Aria.
Career[]
2015-2021: GFRIEND, departure from Source Music, new agency[]
She debuted as a member of GFRIEND on January 16, 2015 with the group's first mini album Season of Glass.
On May 18, Source Music announced that all members of GFRIEND, including Yerin, have decided to not renew their contracts with the agency. They went on indefinite hiatus on May 22 after the end of their exclusive six-year contract.
On June 17, it was announced that Yerin had signed an exclusive contract with Sublime Artist Agency.[2]
2022: Solo debut[]
On April 15, a representative from SUBLIME stated that Yerin is preparing an album with the goal of releasing it mid-May.[3] On May 4, it was announced that she will release her debut mini album Aria on May 18.[4]
2023: Departure from SUBLIME, new agency, Ready, Set, Love[]
On March 31, SUBLIME released a statement announcing Yerin's departure from the agency after her contract with them had expired and decided not to renew.[5]
On April 14, Newsen reported that Yerin had signed an exclusive contract with Bill Entertainment.[6]
On June 21, Bill Entertainment announced Yerin's first full-length album.[7] On July 21, it was announced that Yerin will be releasing her second mini album, Ready, Set, Love, on August 23.[8]
2024: Rewrite[]
On August 13, it was announced that Yerin will be releasing her third mini album, Rewrite, on September 4.[9]
