Yechan (Korean: 예찬; Japanese: イェチャン; also known by his full name) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actor under IPQ. He is a member of the boy group OMEGA X and its sub-unit OX:N. He is also a former member of the project group 1THE9.
Career[]
2018–2020: Under Nineteen and 1THE9[]
On October 25, 2018, Shin Ye Chan was introduced as a contestant of Under Nineteen with his moving poster. The poster revealed that he was a part of the vocal team.[3] He finished in fourth place, thus becoming a member of the project group 1THE9.[4]
On April 13, 2019, the group officially debuted with the mini album XIX.
1THE9 officially disbanded on August 8, 2020, following the release of their final mini album Good Bye 1THE9.
2021: Debut with OMEGA X[]
On March 26, 2021, Yechan was officially revealed as one of the 11 members that were a part of the upcoming boy group OMEGA X.[5] The group debuted on June 30, 2021 with the mini album Vamos.
2025: Debut with OX:N[]
On May 30, 2025, OMEGA X announced the subunit OX:N consisting of members Jaehan, Xen, Jehyun and Yechan.[6]
