Ye-A (예아) was a girl group initially under Kiroy Company, and then later Shinhoo Entertainment. They debuted on July 18, 2014 with their only single "National Treasure".

After Kiroy Company was purchased by Shinhoo Entertainment, updates of the girl group were no longer released. They are assumed to have disbanded sometime in late 2015 without any official statement.

History

2014: Debut with "National Treasure"

Debuting on July 18, 2014 with digital single "National Treasure", Ye-A was originally a four-member girl group planned by Kiroy Company's CEO, Yang Jung Seung. However, on debut the final line-up contained eight members, namely: Dohye, Pier, Hady, Hyei, Chai, Kazoo, Yeorin and Yigyer.

In October 2014, their CEO announced the addition of three new members: Mia, Rose, Xiha. Subsequent group updates no longer included Chai, Dohye, Hyei and Kazoo.

The group's new member line up was present for Kiroy Company's Christmas party and show.

2015: Company change

Sometime around November 2015, Kiroy Company was purchased by Shinhoo Company and Yang Jung Seung went onto becoming independent and establishing a new company called Jackpot Entertainment. Due to this change, the artists that were under Kiroy now belonged to Shinhoo, including Ye-A. Yeorin and Yigyer were no longer listed as artists under Shinhoo, indicating that they were no longer members of Ye-A.

During this time, official support for Ye-A's social network accounts and fan cafes were closed down. No official updates of the groups disbandment was announced, but it was assumed to have happened.

2016–present: Aftermath

Revealed in Nailholic Magazine June 2016 issue, Hyei, Dohye, Pier planned to re-debut as a vocal-oriented 3-member girl group under a new name called Madeleine.

In December 2015, Mia debuted as a member of Hbros Entertainment's girl group GIRLS GIRLS under the name Miso.

On October 26, 2017, Pier, now going by the stage name Haeyeon, debuted as a member of Gate9.

On May 11, 2018, Kazoo, now using her real name, Kwon Eun Bi, was announced as a contestant on Produce 48 as a trainee under Woollim Entertainment. She finished the competition in seventh place, this debuting as a member of IZ*ONE.[1]
