Yang Dong Hwa (양동화) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and producer under Bluedot Entertainment. He is a member of the project boy group POLARIX and a former pre-debut member of the boy group ATBO.

He made his solo debut on February 18, 2024 with the digital single "Blackout".

He is also known for participating in the survival shows The Origin - A, B, or What? and Starlight Boys.

Career

2022: The Origin - A, B, or What?, ATBO, and departure from IST Entertainment

On February 8, 2022, IST Entertainment announced that they would be debuting their first group since the merger. The members of the group will then be selected through the survival show, that was then untitled. On February 11, the profile photos of the thirteen contestants, Donghwa included, were revealed. The first episode of The Origin - A, B, or What? was then set to air on February 26. However, the show's premiere was then postponed to March 19 as some of the contestants had tested positive for COVID-19. On the finale, he ranked 6th overall, making him a member of the boy group ATBO.

On June 13, IST announced that Donghwa would not be a part of the group's lineup after his past misconduct when he was a student surfaced online.

2024: Solo debut with "Blackout", Starlight Boys

On February 7, 2024, Donghwa announced he would be making his solo debut on February 18, 2024 with his digital single "Blackout".

On September 29, Donghwa was introduced as a contestant on the Chinese-South Korean survival show Starlight Boys. During the show's finale, he was revealed to have ranked 8th overall, thus making him a member of POLARIX.

2025: Debut with POLARIX

On May 28, 2025, Donghwa made his debut as a member of POLARIX with the EP Freefall.
