Wumuti (Korean: 우무티; Chinese: 吾木提) is a Uyghur-Chinese singer under 257 Entertainment. He is the leader of the boy group XLOV, a member of the project boy group WATERFIRE and a former member of the Chinese boy group SWIN and its sub-unit SWIN-S.

He made his solo debut on June 30, 2024 with the single album "You Make Me Better".

He is best known for being a contestant on the Chinese survival show Super Idol, Korean survival shows Under Nineteen, Boys Planet and Build Up : Vocal Boy Group Survivor.

Career[]

2018-2019: Under Nineteen[]

On October 25, 2018, Wumuti was introduced as a contestant of Under Nineteen with his moving poster. The poster revealed that he was a part of the performance team.[2] He left before the final began.

2022-2023: Boys Planet[]

On December 29, 2022, he was introduced as a contestant of Boys Planet, which aired on February 2.[3]

On March 23, 2023, he was eliminated in episode 8 after ranking 34th place.[4]

2024-present: Build Up, debut with WATERFIRE, solo debut with "You Make Me Better", XLOV[]

In January 2024, he was revealed as a contestant on Mnet's reality survival show Build Up : Vocal Boy Group Survivor.[5] The show began airing on January 26, 2024, and on its finale, on March 29, it was revealed that Wumuti's team WATERFIRE placed third rendering him eliminated.

On April 3, it was announced that WATERFIRE would be debuting as a project boy group under LYNNA Entertainment.[6] They made their debut on May 30, 2024 with the single album "Possible".

On June 20, it was announced that he would make his solo debut with the single album, "You Make Me Better", set to be released on June 30.[7]

On December 17, Wumuti was revealed as the first member of the upcoming boy group XLOV.[8] They made their debut on January 7, 2025 with the digital single "I'mma Be".
