Won (원) is a South Korean independent rapper and singer-songwriter. He is a former member of the boy group Ciipher and the project group 1THE9.
He made his solo debut on December 4, 2023 with the digital single "Even If It's a Lie".
Career[]
2018–2020: Under Nineteen and 1THE9[]
On October 25, 2018, Park Sung Won was introduced as a contestant of Under Nineteen with his moving poster. The poster revealed that he was a part of the rap team.[1] He finished in seventh place, thus becoming a member of the project group 1THE9.[2]
On April 13, 2019, the group officially debuted with the mini album XIX. 1THE9 officially disbanded on August 8, 2020, following the release of their final mini album Good Bye 1THE9.
2020–2023: Ciipher, departure from Rain Company, solo debut with "Even If It's a Lie"[]
On December 10, 2020, he was revealed as a member of the boy group Ciipher scheduled to debut in early 2021.[3][4] His profile picture was released on December 18.[5] The group debuted on March 15, 2021 with their first mini album I Like You.
On August 9, 2023, Rain Company announced that he, along with Tan, TAG and Dohwan have decided to leave the group.[6]
On November 27, 2023, he announced that he will be making his solo debut on December 4 with the digital single "Even If It's a Lie".[7]
