Wild Idol (극한데뷔 야생돌, lit. Extreme Debut: Wild Idol) was a boy group audition show broadcasted on MBC from September 17, 2021 to December 16, 2021.
Concept[]
Wild Idol is an audition program that will evaluate contestants based on their physical stamina, skill level, and hidden potential as they take to the outdoors and battle for the chance to debut.
Background[]
From August 9 to August 13, 2021, MBC unveiled the official profile information, photos, PR videos and performance videos of the 45 contestants. Each were assigned a number that identifies them.[1]
The digital single "The Wild Idol" was released on Korean streaming platforms on September 11, as well as the music video teaser for the show's title song.[2]

- Choi Ji Ho and Na Du Bin went onto becoming contestants on the reality survival show Boys Planet in February 2023. Choi Ji Ho was eliminated in episode 5 ranking 55th. Na Du Bin was eliminated in episode 12 ranking 17th. They debuted in AMPERS&ONE on November 15, 2023.
