Why is the second solo mini album by Girls' Generation member Taeyeon. It was released on June 28, 2016.
The title track "Why" is described as a trendy pop track, mixing R&B and EDM genres with a tropical house feel. The lyrics of the song are about escaping the mundane routine of everyday life, while at the same time being unable to get away from it.
"Starlight" became available for download on June 24, as a pre-release of the album. A music video for the song, shot in Los Angeles and featuring DEAN, was also released that day.
