Wave (stylized in all-caps) is the first Japanese EP by IVE. It was released on May 31, 2023 with "Wave" serving as the album's title track.

The music video for "Wave" was pre-released on May 9, 2023 9PM (JST).

The physical release comes in ten versions: Limited Edition A (CD+Blu-ray), B (CD+DVD), C (CD+Photobook), Regular Edition (CD only) and Full Production Limited DIVE Edition (CD only) with six member-specific versions, only available for DIVE Japan members to purchase.

Background[]

On April 1, 2023, the group's Japanese Twitter announced that they would be releasing their first Japanese EP, Wave, on May 31. The EP contains two original songs including the title track "Wave" and Japanese versions of "After Like", "Love Dive", and "Take It."[1]

Commercial performance[]

Wave debuted #1 on the Oricon's daily album chart and remained on the top of the chart on its second consecutive day. Additionally, the EP reached #1 on the Tower Records' daily sales chart.[2]

On June 9, 2023, the Recording Industry Association of Japan reported that Wave received a gold certification for reaching 100,000 units shipped.[3]
