WHIB (휘브) is an eight-member boy group under C-JeS Entertainment. They made their debut on November 8, 2023 with the single album "Cut-Out".

Their name is a compound word of the two opposite colors "white" and "black", meaning that they will show a variety of charms.[2]

History[]

Pre-debut[]

On November 26, 2021, C-JeS opened up the Instagram account for the trainee group M.I.C, which stood for Made In C-JeS.[3]

On March 15, 2022, a blurred group profile picture was posted along with the words coming soon.[4] On March 16, JaeHyeon was officially introduced as the first trainee,[5] followed by InHong on March 17,[6] SeungYong on March 18,[7] MinHyuk on March 19,[8] SunHo on March 21,[9] JunMin on March 22,[10] LeeJeong on March 23,[11] and JinBeom on March 24.[12]

In June 2022, MinHyuk left the group due to unknown reasons as he was not in any of the group's contents anymore and his name was removed from their YouTube channel description.

On August 19, they announced their first live concert M.I.C Pre-View set to August 27.[13]

On August 27, they revealed two new members, HoJin and TaeWoo after finishing their live concert M.I.C Pre-View.[14][15]

In December 2022, HoJin left the group due to unknown reasons as he was not in any of the group's contents anymore and his name was removed from their YouTube channel description. Later that month, SunHo was also removed from the YouTube channel description, which could confirm that he had left the group.

2023: Debut with "Cut-Out"[]

On September 7, 2023, it was revealed that the group would be debuting as an eight-member group in November.[16] On October 10, the group name was revealed to be WHIB.[17] They will make their debut on November 8.[2] All eight members were introduced the following day.[18]

On October 13, a scheduler was released, revealing that the group would debut on November 8 with the single album "Cut-Out".[19]

2024: "Eternal Youth : Kick It", upcoming release[]

On April 26, 2024, the group unveiled a promotional table for their second single album, "Eternal Youth : Kick It", scheduled for May 14.[20]

On September 2, WHIB announced that they will be releasing their third single album on September 30.[21]
