WAW (which stands for Where Are We) is the 11th mini album by MAMAMOO. It was released on June 2, 2021 with "Where Are We Now" serving as the album's title track.
Background[]
RBW announced on May 17, 2021 that MAMAMOO would make a comeback in June that would kick off the 2021 "Where Are We" project. Beside the new mini album, a summer concert and a documentary were planned as part of the project.[1]
WAW and subsequently the project in itself are said to be based on the emotions and thoughts for the future the girls have developed during their past seven years as an active idol group.[1]
The following day, May 18, the first teaser photo of MAMAMOO was released confirming the comeback for June 02, 2021 at 6PM KST.[2]
