Wake One Entertainment (웨이크원엔터테인먼트), better known simply as WAKEONE, is a South Korean record label under CJ ENM. They were originally founded in 2014 as MMO Entertainment.
Their original name was an acronym for "Music Makes One".
History[]
2020–2021: Name changes, launch[]
On April 13, 2020, MMO Entertainment changed their name to ONEFECT Entertainment and again to their current name on May 25, 2021.[1]
On August 3, 2021, CJ ENM announced the launch of their integrated label, WAKEONE. It was also revealed that their previous labels Stone Music Entertainment, ONEFECT Entertainment, Studio Blu, and Off The Record Entertainment would be integrated into WAKEONE. Its goal is to support talented artists more systematically by establishing a full value chain from WAKEONE to pre–planning, casting, training, production, marketing, and management.[2]
2024: Merging with Swing Entertainment[]
On April 3, 2024, it was announced that Swing Entertainment will be merging with WAKEONE on June 1.[3]
