"Vibe" (stylized in all-caps) is the sixth digital single by Taeyang. It was released on January 13, 2023 and features Jimin.

Background[]

On December 2, 2022, JTBC reported that Taeyang was preparing to release a new album in January 2023. YG Entertainment stated that nothing has yet been decided.[1] On December 9, it was reported that BTS's Jimin would be a featuring on Taeyang's new album. YG responded that they are currently checking while BigHit Music made no comments.[2]

The Black Label revealed that they signed with Taeyang on December 26.[3] On January 3, 2023, The Black Label dropped a profile photo of Taeyang and hinted at an upcoming release.[4] On January 4, a teaser was posted announcing that Taeyang will be releasing the digital single "Vibe" featuring BTS's Jimin on January 13.[5]

Commercial performance[]

According to The Black Label, as of January 14, "Vibe" hit #1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 60 different regions.[6]

For the week of January 20 to 26, "Vibe" debuted at #96 on the United Kingdom's Official Singles Chart, #4 on both the U.K.'s Official Singles Sales Chart and the U.K.'s Official Singles Downloads Chart. Furthermore, "Vibe" debuted at #48 on the Australian Recording Industry Association's Singles Chart.[7]

On January 24, Billboard that "Vibe" had debuted at #9 on its Global Excluding United States chart and #76 on the Hot 100.[8]
