VNT (브이엔티), formerly known as V-92, was a three-member girl group under Media Line Entertainment. They debuted on November 4, 2010 with the digital single "Sound".

The group presumably disbanded in April 2011.

The group's name is an abbreviation for "Voice of Ninety Two" as all of the members were practically born in 1992.[1][n 1]

History[]

Pre-debut[]

Prior to their debut, the members of VNT trained for two years.[2] They were originally a four-member girl group but a Korean-American member was eliminated during the training process.[3]

2010: Debut with "Sound"[]

On November 4, 2010, the group made their debut with the digital single "Sound". The lineup consisted of Lil J, Tina and Yumi. On the same day, the group made their music show debut on M Countdown.[4]

Shortly after their debut, the group went on a hiatus.[5]

2011: Lil J's departure, disbandment[]

On March 21, 2011, Lil J announced on her personal Twitter account that she had departed from the group.[6]

Shortly after Lil J departure, the group became inactive and was assumed to have disbanded. In 2012, it was revealed by Tina that the group disbanded because their debut failed to gain attention.[7]

Aftermath[]

  • Tina went on to participate in the singing competition show The Last Audition of My Life in 2012,
    • On January 28, 2014, she joined Sorea Band as a guest vocalist.[8] She later became a fixed member of the band until their disbandment in 2016.
    • On January 27, 2016, she debuted as a soloist with the digital single "Pretend It’s OK".
    • On August 24, 2017, she debuted as a member of S2 and later participated in The Unit.
    • She is currently active under the stage name ChaTone.
  • Lil J made her solo debut with the digital single "맘에 안들지" on June 5, 2015, under the stage name iLLA.
  • Yumi remained under Media Line Entertainment and joined their new girl group VIVA Girls, which later disbanded pre-debut[9]
    • On January 24, 2014, she debut as a member of Kiss&Cry. They later disbanded that same year.
    • On April 21, 2015, she made her debut as a trot soloist with the digital single "Shake Me Up", under the stage name So Yumi.
    • In 2020, she participated in the trot survival shows K-Trot in Town 2 - The Last Chance and Miss Trot.
