Just, the title. This will be a very crazy mindless post because it's around 1 AM right now, my braces hurt like hell, I'm still pretty shocked from Rose's solo (it was INCREDIBLE), and I'm listening to vintage lofi music. Yes, this will be another mindless rant post, because I like writing them. They're pretty fun, to be honest. And boy do I have some things to talk about in this post. Starting off with a familiar topic (to me at least): the Flicker wiki.

That place - that place that I will be forever grateful for and forever pissed off at the same time. It was the place where I both found my family and lost my family. Where I made the closest bonds I've ever had, and had those bonds torn apart. Where I've trusted people more than ever, and also gained some trust issues. When it comes down to it, I love what used to be the Flicker wiki, and I hate what it is now. Because what it is now... it's a bunch of crazy Roblox obsessed kids who are dumb enough to get other people banned instead of themselves, and a bunch of angry 14 year olds attempting to run a wiki, if "running a wiki" means blocking anyone who shows any signs of being under the age of 13, and taking all measures possible to play with our emotions in the process.
There's a little sub-division of this wiki, the Flicker Customs wiki. It's where people make their own OC's for Flicker, and to be honest it's a pretty boring place. But after the Blocked Flicker Kids wiki was closed, that's where a lot of people went. And since I've been on that wiki before, I get notified when any announcements from that wiki go out. And I got an interesting announcement a few days ago. Coppa is apparently taking over that wiki as well. Meaning, everyone under the age of 13 is banned.
Now I'm gonna introduce you all to a user named Dionze. Dionze, or as I call them, Dion, is the owner and main admin of the Flicker Customs wiki. Or... they were. On Wednesday, Dion put out an announcement saying "Hey everyone, tell me your age in the comments because Coppa is here now, meaning everyone under 13 will be blocked." Now before we get any further into this, I'll have you guys know that I despise Coppa. Sure, it's a law trying to do the right hing, but does it actually do anything? People can lie about their age well, especially on the internet of all places. And I know this, because back on the Flicker Wiki, over HALF of the users were banned for being underage. Over half. Coppa didn't stop them from lying about their age. So it's not only a pointless rule, but so far the only thing I've seen it do is tear up wiki users from each other. Tear them apart. It's no good
I'll get to my point here really quickly - not only were all the underage users blocked after telling their age, but DION WAS BLOCKED AS WELL. I'm pretty sure Dion is 15. But why was Dion blocked? For taking the personal info of users. So Dion was blocked - by fandom themselves - because they were trying to instill a law, an actual LAW, on their wiki. Fandom blocked Dion for following the law, and fandom blocked users for not following the law. So what gives, Fandom? What do you want? Blocking one of your most diligent users for following an actual law, with no hesitation! I'm shocked.
This started a war on the Flicker Customs wiki, with the ones who were still around at least. Truth be told, I probably started it. I made a pretty... angry post on that wiki (which if you want you can read here: https://flicker-customs.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000000039603). I received some "oh I feel you" appreciation, some people who were just like "eh, what can we do?" and some backlash. Now I've mentioned this before, but I'm absolutely the WORST with acting on impulse. so I also continued to fight with these people who were just... not too nice. In fact, I received actual THREATS from some people (those posts may have been deleted), and from someone who has received quite a few threats online before, it was nothing new but it still hurt.
Can't believe that wiki's pretty much gone now too, it's really breaking my heart -

So... I'm getting a dog tomorrow. Well, technically today, since it's now 1 AM, and the next day but that doesn't matter. I still need to sleep and then wake up and THEN it's the day I get a dog. Which like - holy heck so exciting - I can barely even begin to comprehend how amazing it is. We all knew we were getting a dog some time this year, but my dad told me it would be in June. Then a few days ago, we were watching TV and he just goes "oh ok so we're getting a dog on friday by the way." I was shocked, and I was also carrying plates of pie that I almost dropped because of this.
We're getting the dog from an organization called Seeing Eye Dogs, which means you train a dog for about a year and then send it off to help a blind/disabled person. It's a service to the world, really, plus you get a dog for a year. I just realized dog spelled backwards is god. Which I mean...true.

Ah yes, and the other thing that happened today... the drama outburst on the BTS wiki, and me being literally the only person with the ability to end it.
I woke up at around 11 AM today, after a very late night. My braces hurt IMMENSELY, and my head also hurt, so I didn't get on Fandom right when I woke up, like I usually do. I went on at around noon. I should have come on later though, because that one Changbin obsessed girl was fighting with everyone, calling BTS trash, saying derogatory things about the users, threatening them, and just... just being a whole mess. And it didn't help that there were a few people fighting back. I just tagged on that post multiple times because it was just so out of control. Keep in mind this is the same Changbin obsessed girl who's on this wiki as well.
I can't be the only one who gets bad vibes from her, right? Tell me I'm not the only one - like she's a bit.. extra? If you guys know what I mean. Over the top.
I've always had that mindset about her, actually. She almost gives off troll vibes, in a way, except I don't think any troll would be this dedicated.

Anyway, I had to make an announcement on that wiki, lock 4 separate posts, give the changbin girl a quick warning about her behavior, and make sure everyone had calmed down. It was chaos, and that was the first thing that happened to me when I got on Fandom. Of course. That wiki is a mess, and just.... GOD I WANT TO SCREAM RIGHT NOW LIKE I ACTUALLY REALLY WANT TO SCREAM. This is all so frustrating, the way everyone is creating all this drama over there, especially today and ESPECIALLY the Changbin obsessed girl! And I'm the only active moderator over there too! It's not that I don't like being a mod, no, I love being a moderator but why does the drama exist? It's so not needed. At all.
