Universe Ticket (유니버스 티켓) also known as Universe Ticket: The Miracle of 82 (유니버스 티켓: 82의 기적) is a South Korean survival show that premiered on SBS on November 18, 2023.
Concept[]
Universe Ticket follows the story of 82 contestants who will participate in a series of missions for a chance to debut in a global K-Pop girl group. 8 winners will be selected to form a project girl group targeting global audiences, with activities set both in the real world and in the metaverse. In January, it was stated that trainees from the age of 10 to 19 would be participating on the show, but when the audition recruitment was released in March, it stated any girls born before 2011 can participate. The group will be promoting for 2 and a half years.[1]
Background[]
In January 2023, it was announced that SBS would air their first survival show, Universe Ticket with a group contract of 2 and a half years under F&F Entertainment, a new entertainment company which established in November 2022.[2]
On March 2, SBS opened the audition form to the public for any girl who has been born before the year 2011 and has a dream to debut as a K-pop idol regardless their nationality.[3] The audition period would last from March 2 until May 14th, 2023. With individual applicants being notified about their audition results by June 10. [4]
On July 4, it was announced that the show would officially air sometime in November. [5] The contestants will be revealed on July 13 and July 17 through profile teaser images and an official pre-voting would take place from July 19th until August 9.[6]

Episode 2 (November 25, 2023)[]
The episode starts with the continuation of the 1:1 Battle, showing 5 more match-ups, after finishing this the episode continues onto the next stage of the competition. The Morning after the 1:1 battles the contestants are given their uniforms, pink colored being those who won the battle while green colored ones being given to those defeated (called Challengers). The announcement of the next battle is then given, being titled the "Revenge Battle", in which the winners of the 1:1 Battle will team up into 5 groups of 8 or 9, and those they lost to will be grouped together. The reward for winning the 1:1 Battle is being able to decide which song of the 5 concepts the contestants want to be apart of; Sparkling, Pure, Cute, Charismatic and Enchanting. The winners are taken to a challenge to decide what concept they want to be apart of, each lining up for the concept they want and then running to get a balloon. The Challenger contestants are then informed of the groups but not told what concept or song they will be performing. The episode then cuts to D-Day of the Revenge Battle, where the judges tell them that the Unicorns will decide only half of the winning team to give Direct Pass to, leaving the other contestants (Winners and Challengers) to be voted by the global audience in order to gain a Ticket Pass, the rest being eliminated. The groups for the Cute concept are then put on stage, showing the days leading up to the performances, the episode ends with the team that won being announced.
