UO (유오), also known as Kwon Yong Hyun (권용현), is a South Korean singer-songwriter. He is the maknae of the boy group XD (formerly XEED) and a former member of the boy group TST under his birth name Yonghyeon (용현).
He made his solo debut on April 13, 2023 with the mini album Restart.
He is best known for participating in the survival shows Project 7.
Career[]
2017–2020: TST[]
On January 4, 2017, Yonghyeon made his debut as a member of the boy group TST with the release of their debut single "Love Story".
Unfortunately, it was presumed that TST had disbanded since October 2020 due to inactivity on their SNS.
2023: "Run For Love", solo debut with Restart[]
On April 6, 2023, Yonghyeon released his first pre-release single "Run For Love" under his new stage name UO.[2] He later debuted on April 13 with his first mini album Restart.
2023–2024: XEED, departure from Nature Space[]
On July 26, 2023, UO was introduced as a new member of XEED.[3] He made his debut with the group on August 1 with the release of their second mini album Blue.
On March 22, 2024, Nature Space announced that the group would be disbanding on April 8, 2024.[4]
On April 8, Nature Space announced through XEED's fancafe that they have agreed to terminate their exclusive contract with UO. That same day, UO stated that he plans to work on music, acting and other various fields.[5]
2024: Project 7[]
On September 26, 2024, he was officially introduced as a contestant of Project 7.[6] On December 20, he was eliminated in episode 11 after ranking 29th place.[7]
2025: XD[]
On April 20, 2025, the XEED members opened new SNS accounts under the name XD.[8]
