Tilt (stylized in all-caps) is the second mini album by Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi. It will be released on May 26, 2025 with "Tilt" serving as the album's title track.
The physical album comes in five versions: three Photo Book versions, Package and Smart Album (QR).
Background[]
On February 10, 2025, SM Entertaiment revealed that Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi will be releasing their second mini album in the second quarter of the year.[1] On April 11, SM Entertainment confirmed that Irene & Seulgi are preparing for their new mini album, scheduled for May.[2]
On May 7, Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi unveiled a brand film for their second mini album, Tilt, scheduled for May 26.[3]
Composition[]
The title track 'Tilt' is a highly addictive pop dance song that unfolds in dramatic harmony with a restrained R&B groove and a strong electronic beat. The lyrics depict a relationship where we grow together by creating our own balance rather than a competition between winning and losing that leans towards one side or the other.[4]
The track 'Trampoline' from this album is an R&B pop dance song with an impressive and chilling atmosphere, and the lyrics express the longing for the other person to be the only light that draws you out on a dark night and shine endlessly brightly, and the explosive vocals in the second half of the song keep you on the edge of the tension until the end.[5]
Another track, 'Heaven', is an R&B pop dance song with a simple drum sound and synths, keyboards, and distortion guitars that create a dreamy groove, and leaves a long lasting impression with its laid-back vocals along with a bold suggestion to prove that you deserve to be loved in order to enter your world, just as heaven is open to the good and lost.[5]
