The Sound (stylized in all-caps) is the first Japanese full-length album (third overall) by Stray Kids. It was released on February 22, 2023 with "The Sound" serving as the album's title track.
"Case 143 -Japanese ver.-", "The Sound" and "There" were pre-released on December 15, 2022, January 28, 2023, and February 16 respectively.
The physical release comes in eleven versions: Regular Edition, Limited Editions A, B, and eight member-specific Fanclub Editions.[1]
Background[]
On December 22, 2022, Stray Kids announced that their first Japanese album, The Sound, will be released on February 22, 2023.[2]
Commercial performance[]
The Recording Industry Association of Japan awarded The Sound a platinum certification on March 10, 2023.[3] On April 12, it was certified double platinum.[4]
