The Idol Band : Boy's Battle is a Korean-Japanese survival show created by FNC Entertainment. It was broadcast on SBS M, SBS F!l in Korea and TBS in Japan from December 6, 2022.

The final episode aired on March 5, 2023, when the winning team was announced.[1]

Background[]

The Idol Band: Boy’s Battle was announced as an audition program searching for members to create a new idol band that has both looks and musical talent. The producers will personally choose members to form different teams during the show, and the journey will feature both fierce competition and heartwarming friendship.

FNC Entertainment founder remarked, “‘The Idol Band’ will be a show that further globalizes K-pop and the K-band genre.”[2]

The program ran its first recruitment period from June 24 to July 22, 2022 and its second recruitment period from July 29 to August 26, 2022.[3][4]

On July 28, SBS Media Net announced that SF9's Ro Woon and HKT48's Yabuki Nako would be the program's MCs.[5]

On November 24, SBS M revealed that the show will premiere on December 6, 2022 at 9 p.m. KST.[6]

The final episode was aired on March 5, 2023, and Hi-Fi Un!corn was announced as the winning team.[1]
