Composition[]

The title track "1999" is a pop genre song that creates an upbeat atmosphere with grand orchestration and various instrumental sounds such as funky guitars, brass sessions, and whistles, and the singing that freely moves between tight rap and falsetto can feel a fresh charm that you have never seen before.[6]

The first track "Toronto's Window" has a warm atmosphere and was composed and arranged by Code Kunst.[7]

"Watching TV" is expected to show emotional synergy between Mark and soloist Crush.[7]

Meanwhile, "Mom's Interlude" is a special track conveying the sincerity of a family, as it features Mark's mother playing the piano and includes a warm conversation between her and her son.[7]

"Flight to NYC" is a skit track that captures the emotions felt on a plane leaving Mark's hometown, Toronto, for New York. The song created a unique sound with a dreamy and unfamiliar beats, airplane ambience sound, and mumbling narration.[8]

"Righteous" is a hip-hop song which starts with hooligans chants and continues with heavy kicks, bass, and ear-piercing hi-hat sounds. It contains his presence as an artist who travels around the world and his confidence in radiating strong energy that can shake the ground on stage.[8]

"Raincouver" is a pop song with the peaceful chirping of birds and a delicate piano riff. It conveys a feeling of missing the innocent past self while looking at the falling raindrops.[9]

"Journey Mercies" is an emotional song featuring R&B vocals, a vintage-textured guitar, and a Lo-fi synth. The lyrics gives a lingering feeling as it looks back on the past at the end of a long journey.[10]

"Too Much" is a three-dimensional song that starts with a piano melody, moves to an alternative rhythm, and ends with a gradually rising vocal and drums. The lyrics talks about the love received by Mark as the greatest strength.[10]
