The Black Label (더 블랙 레이블; stylized as THEBLΛƆKLΛBEL) is a South Korean record label and associate company of YG Entertainment. It was founded in 2015 by producers Teddy Park and Kush.
History[]
2022–present: Girl group audition, new artists[]
On November 29, 2022, the agency announced that they would be holding an audition for their first girl group.[1]
On December 26, 2022, it was announced that Taeyang would be now promoting under The Black Label after leaving YG. However, he still remains a part of YG Family and a member of BIGBANG.[2]
On January 29, 2023, The Black Label announced that they had signed a management contract with Park Bo Gum.[3]
On June 18, 2024, The Black Label announced that they had signed a management contract with Rosé for her solo endeavors.[4]
On August 16, 2024, The Black Label officially announced their upcoming girl group MEOVV, set to debut on September 6.[5]
