On January 22, 2020, Taeyoung was introduced as a trainee under Starship.[1] Months later, on March 18, he was revealed to be a member of Starship's upcoming boy group CRAVITY.[2] He officially debuted with them on April 14, with the release of the mini album Hideout: Remember Who We Are - Season1..
2022: After School Club[]
On September 6, it was confirmed that Taeyoung would be the newest host of After School Club, in which he would be hosting along with fellow CRAVITY member Allen and former NU'EST member Aaron.[3]

He was interested in dancing after participating in his elementary school's talent show, but didn't dream of becoming a singer until he was street casted.[6]
His strength is that he is versatile and has confidence to make use of his talents.[6]

His happiest memory is going home to his parents and telling them he is going to debut in a group.[6]
