TREI (트레이) was a three-member boy group under Banana Culture. They debuted on February 19, 2019 with the mini album Born ; 本.

On June 19, 2020, it was announced that the group had disbanded after all the members had left the agency.[1]

Career[]

2017–2018: Pre-debut[]

TREI began as a duo composed by Lee Jae Jun and Chae Chang Hyun. In August 2017, they released a digital single called "Up" and a few months later, they joined the survival show MIXNINE.[2]

In May 2018, Kim Jun Tae was announced as new member of the group. In sequence, they dropped their pre-debut single "Nike". On December 14, Banana Culture stated that the group is preparing for their debut in the beginning of 2019.[2]

2019: Debut with Born ; 本[]

On February 1, their agency confirmed their debut date to be on February 19 with their first mini album, Born ; 本.[3]

On September 7, in order to celebrate their 200 days debut anniversary, the agency shared the official colors of the group. Together, the three colors will make up the official color combination for the trio.[4]

2020: Disbandment[]

On June 15, member Chae Chang Hyun announced on his Instagram that he had left both the group and agency.[5] However, on June 19, it was revealed that all three members had left the agency and decided to go their separated ways.[1]
