TRCNG (티알씨엔지; an acronym for Teen Rising Champion in a New Generation) was a ten-member boy group formed by TS Entertainment. They officially debuted on October 10, 2017 with their first mini album New Generation.

Following TS Entertainment's defunct on January 31, 2021, as well as the members' departures, the group officially disbanded on March 28, 2022.

History[]

2019-2020: Tae Seon and Woo Yeop's lawsuit[]

On November 18, 2019, Tae Seon and Woo Yeop filed a lawsuit against the agency for child abuse from director Park Sang Hyun and violence from choreography director Yoon.[2] The agency responded by saying the claims were false and that they plan to take legal action for damage caused to their company.[2] It was announced the next day that TRCNG will promote as an eight-member boy group following the lawsuits.[3]

2021-2022: TS Entertainment shutdown, disbandment[]

On January 2021, their label, TS Entertainment was shut down which left the group status unknown.

On March 28, 2022, the members, minus Si Woo who does not have an Instagram account, released a statement about their contract termination and group's disbandment on their personal Instagram accounts.[4]

Aftermath[]

Ji Hun, Hyun Woo, Si Woo and Kang Min (now known as Ha Min) went on to join Wolfburn on April 11, 2022.[5][6][7][8] They debuted in Wolfburn's boy group BXB on January 30, 2023.

Ha Young joined the music production team 13 under the name Luke. He then enlisted into the military on September 6, 2021.[9]

Ji Sung enlisted into the military on March 29, 2022.[10]

Tae Seon announced that he has signed with GGA on July 19, 2022.[11]

The circumstances of the remaining former members are unknown.
