Swan (수안) is a South Korean singer-songwriter under RBW. She is the maknae of the girl group PURPLE KISS.
She made her solo debut on July 2, 2023 with the single album "Twenty (Prod. Jung Key)".
Career[]
2020–2021: Debut with PURPLE K!SS[]
On July 23, 2020, she was announced as the second member of the girl group PURPLE KISS.[1][2]
On September 30, it was announced through the group's Daum Café that Swan will be going on a temporary hiatus due to mental health issues.[3] On December 24, RBW announced her return to activities.[4]
PURPLE K!SS debuted on March 15, 2021 with their first mini album Into Violet.
2022-2023: Artistock Game, GIRL'S RE:VERSE, solo debut[]
On September 16, 2022, Mnet revealed Swan as one of the 48 contestants for its new survival show Artistock Game. [5] She reached rank 16 before being eliminated.
On October 22, 2022, the introduction video for Ruby, Swan's character on Kakao TV's survival show GIRL'S RE:VERSE, was released. Swan was eliminated during the final episode on March 6, 2023, reaching rank eighth, thus not making it into the final line-up.
On June 20, 2023, Spot TV News reported that Swan will be making her solo debut sometime in July.[6] Hours later, RBW confirmed the reports and added that the album will be produced by Jung Key.[7] On June 22, a logo motion was posted, announcing that she will make her solo debut on July 2 with the single album "Twenty (Prod. Jung Key)".[8]
