Suzy (수지) is a South Korean singer and actress under Management SOOP. She is a former member of the girl group miss A. She was also a member of the fictive girl group DREAM SWEET under the name Lee Doona (이두나).

She made her solo debut on January 24, 2017 with her first mini-album Yes? No?.

Career[]

Pre-debut[]

In 2009, she auditioned for Mnet's Superstar K1, where she made it to the preliminary round before being eliminated. However, she caught the attention of a JYP Entertainment scout and became a trainee.[2]

2010: Debut with miss A[]

On July 1, 2010, she debuted as a member of miss A with the group's first single album "Bad But Good".

2011: Acting debut[]

Suzy made her acting debut in January 2011 through KBS' Dream High.

2017–2019: Solo debut, miss A disbandment, departure from JYP[]

She made her solo debut on January 24, 2017 with her first mini album Yes? No?.

Following Min's departure from JYP Entertainment in November 2017, Suzy became the sole remaining member of miss A under the agency.[3] On December 26, JYP Entertainment announced that miss A had officially disbanded after seven years.[4]

On March 26, 2019, JYP Entertainment announced Suzy would be leaving the agency after deciding not to renew her contract.[5]

2019: New agency[]

Following her departure from JYP Entertainment, on April 8, 2019, Management SOOP announced Suzy had signed on with the agency.[6]

Personal life[]

Relationship[]

On March 22, 2015, local news source Dispatch reported that Suzy and actor Lee Min Ho were dating after spotting them on a date in London. Later that day, the reports were confirmed by both agencies.[7] On November 15, 2017, it was announced the couple had broken up after two years of dating.[8]

On March 8, 2018, local news source TV Report reported that Suzy and actor Lee Dong Wook were dating. By the next day, both agencies had confirmed the reports.[9] On July 2, it was announced the couple had broken up due to busy schedules.[10]

She attended School of Performing Arts Seoul as a student of the Practical Arts Department, graduating on February 6, 2013.[11]
