Suyeon (수연), also known by her full name Ji Suyeon (지수연), is a South Korean singer-songwriter and musical actress under Bomnal Entertainment. She is a former member of the girl group Weki Meki.
She made her solo debut on May 29, 2025, with her first digital single "A Fish Gone to the Forest".
Career[]
2017: Debut with Weki Meki[]
On June 4, 2017, Suyeon was revealed as the eighth and final member of Weki Meki.[1] The group officially debuted on August 8, 2017 with their first mini album Weme.
2019: V-1[]
On September 13, 2019, she became a contestant on the vocal reality survival show V-1. She was eliminated in the second round, after losing to Dreamcatcher's Siyeon.[2]
2022: Artistock Game[]
On September 16, 2022, it was announced that Suyeon would be a contestant in Mnet's new survival program Artistock Game. She was eliminated on November 14, after ranking 24th place.
2024: Weki Meki's disbandment, departure from Fantagio[]
On August 16, 2024, Fantagio announced that Weki Meki had effectively disbanded on August 8 after five members left the agency. However, Suyeon was still in discussions of renewing her contract with the agency.[3]
On November 18, Fantagio announced that Suyeon had officially left the agency after deciding not to renew her contract.[4]
2025: Signing with Bomnal Entertainment, "A Fish Gone to the Forest"[]
On February 25, 2025, it was announced that Suyeon signed an exclusive contract with Bomnal Entertainment, where she would continue her career as both a singer and musical actress.[5]
On May 24, 2025, Bonmal Entertainment announced that Suyeon would be releasing her first digital single "A Fish Gone to the Forest" on May 29.[6]
