Somin (소민), also known as Eunyu (은유) and formerly known as Jeje (제제) and Kira (키라), is a South Korean singer, rapper and cheerleader. She is the former leader of the girl group BADKIZ (formerly known as HOT PLACE).
Career[]
2016–2024: BADKIZ, HOT PLACE[]
On August 15, 2016, she officially debuted as a member of the girl group BADKIZ using the name Somin with the group's fourth digital single "Hothae".
In late 2018, Somin announced that her stage name would change to Kira.
After BADKIZ rebranded to HOT PLACE on February 15, 2019, it was announced that Kira had changed her stage name to Jeje. She later re-debuted in the group with their first release "Hot Place". After the departures of Sihyun and Taeri, she continued her activities in BADKIZ.
In early 2020, it was announced that Jeje had changed her stage name to Eunyu. She also changed her legal name from Jang So-min to Jang Eun-yu.
On October 14, 2020, Eunyu announced her departure from BADKIZ to focus on her career as a cheerleader.[1] Later that same day, fellow member Rozi revealed that the group had disbanded.[2]
On September 14, 2022, BADKIZ announced on their Instagram that they are planning to be active again. It was also revealed that Eunyu would return to promote using the name Somin again.[3] However, her name was tagged as Eunyu once again in BADKIZ's Instagram post of her profile photo on September 20, 2022.[4]
On December 16, 2024, Somin shared through her Instagram story that she had concluded her activities with BADKIZ.[5]
