Lawsuits agains TS Entertainment[]

Sleepy filed a lewsuit against his former agency TS Entertainment in April 2019 to confirm the invalidity of his exclusive contract. TS denied the claims and Sleepy lost the case but they ultimately terminated their contract with additional procedures. However, the agency plans on suing the artist upon suspicions of embezzled money through advertisement rates.[2] TS eventually filed a 280 million won worth lawsuit against Sleepy in damages for defamation.[3] The court hearing took place in October 29, 2021 with TS Entertainment loosing the case.[4]

On July 11, 2024, TS Entertainment stated that they will be filing an appeal on the 2021 defamation case.[5] On September 12, the Supreme Court's Third Division dismissed TS Entertainment's appeal and ruled in favor of Sleepy, with TS being responsible for the legal costs.[6]
