Siyeon (Korean: 시연; Japanese: シヨン) is a South Korean singer-songwriter under Dreamcatcher Company. She is the main vocalist of the girl group Dreamcatcher and a former member of MINX.
She released her first digital single "Paradise" on January 29, 2020.
Career[]
2014–2016: MINX[]
On September 18, 2014, she debuted as a member of MINX with the group's first single "Why Did You Come To My Home?".
On November 29, 2016, Happyface Entertainment announced that MINX would re-debut under the name Dreamcatcher with the addition of two members.[1]
2017: Debut with Dreamcatcher, MIXNINE[]
Dreamcatcher officially debuted on January 13, 2017 with their first single album "Nightmare".
In October, Siyeon, alongside fellow members JiU, Yoohyeon, and Dami, became contestants on the survival show MIXNINE. However, on December 10, it was announced that all four members would be leaving the show.[2]
2019: V-1[]
On September 13, she became a contestant on the vocal survival show V-1. She managed to make it to the final round, where she lost to WJSN's Yeonjung.[3]
2020: "Paradise"[]
On January 22, 2020, Dreamcatcher Company revealed that Siyeon would release her first solo single, "Paradise", on January 29 ahead of the group's comeback with Dystopia : The Tree of Language.[4]

On July 5, 2024, Dreamcatcher Company announced that Siyeon would not participate in the promotions for Virtuous as she would be going on hiatus due to poor health and anxiety.[5] On September 2, it was announced that she will be resuming her activities after improving her condition.[6]

- During Dreamcatcher's Nightmare Series, each member represented a specific nightmare or fear. Siyeon's representative fear was the fear of being trapped in a small space.[8]
