Shownu (Korean: 셔누; Japanese: ショヌ) is a South Korean singer under Starship Entertainment. He is the leader of the boy group MONSTA X and its sub-unit Shownu X Hyungwon, a former member of the project group Y TEEN, and a pre-debut member of NUBOYZ.
On July 10, 2021, Shownu announced through MONSTA X's fancafe that he would be enlisting in the military on July 22 as a public service worker.[2] He was discharged on April 21, 2023.[3]
