Shin Gwang Il (신광일) is a South Korean singer-songwriter, musician and producer under MYSTIC89. He is the vocalist and drummer of the boy band LUCY.
Career[]
Pre-debut and SuperBand[]
Shin Gwang Il trained at MYSTIC Story for a few years before joining JTBC's audition show SuperBand in 2019. He won the second place with his band LUCY.
2020: Debut with LUCY[]
On March 27, 2020, MYSTIC89 announced they signed with the band[1] and the group debuted on May 8, 2020 with their first single "Dear.".

Paternal grandmother's passing[]
On July 30, 2023, Mystic Story announced the passing of Shin Gwang Il's paternal grandmother.[2]
Military service[]
On September 2, 2024, he started his military service.[3] He will be discharged on March 1, 2026.

- He lived in Peru for about six years for his father's missionary work.[9] There, he learned spanish.
- He originally auditioned as a vocalist in SuperBand but offered to play the drums in some of his team performances and ended up being LUCY's drummer.
