Seungyeon (승연; also known as Chang Seung Yeon) is a South Korean singer and dancer under Wild Entertainment Group. She is a former member of the girl group CLC.
Career[]
Pre-debut[]
Prior to CLC's debut, Seungyeon, alongside the four other original members, worked as backup dancers for G.NA during her promotions for "G.NA's Secret".[1]
2015–2022: CLC[]
She debuted as a member of CLC on March 19, 2015 with the group's first mini album First Love.
On March 6, 2016, it was announced that CLC's leader role, originally held by Seunghee, would be passed onto Seungyeon.[2]
On March 18, 2022, it was announced that Seungyeon's contract with Cube Entertainment has expired, and she would be leaving the agency after deciding not to renew it.[3]
2023: New agency[]
On February 8, it was announced that Seungyeon had signed an exclusive with Wild Entertainment Group as a solo artist.[4]
