Seongmin (Korean: 성민; Japanese: ソンミン), formerly known as Jerome (제롬), is a South Korean singer under ARMADA Ent. He is a member of the boy group ONE PACT and a former member of the boy group TO1.
He is best known for being a contestant on the reality survival shows World Klass and Boys Planet.
Career[]
2019: World Klass[]
On December 6, 2019, the finale of World Klass aired where it was revealed that Seongmin (then known as Jerome) finished at eight place earning him a spot in the debut group TO1 (then known as TOO).[2]
2020–2022: TO1[]
He debuted as a member of TO1 (originally known as TOO) on April 1, 2020, with the release of their first mini album Reason for Being : Benevolence.
On June 17, 2022, WAKEONE announced that Jerome, alongside bandmates Min Su and Woong Gi, had left the group but are preparing for a new start.[3]
He clarified through his personal letter for fans that he will be promoting by his birth name Oh Seong Min henceforth.[4]
2023: Boys Planet, departure from WAKEONE, debut with ONE PACT[]
On December 20, 2022, news outlet SPOTV News reported that he, alongside Cha Woong Ki, would be participating in Mnet's survival show Boys Planet as contestants.[5] On December 29, WAKEONE confirmed their participation on the show, stating that they have decided to apply for the program while deciding their future plans.[6] On March 23, the second eliminations aired where it was revealed he ranked 35th which ultimately got him eliminated from the show.[7][8]
On September 7, it was announced that Seongmin had departed from WAKEONE following the termination of his contract.[9]
On October 4, ARMADA Ent introduced Seongmin as the second member of their upcoming boy group ONE PACT.[10]
They made their debut on November 30, 2023 with the mini album Moment.
