Seonghwa (성화) is a South Korean singer and actor under KQ Entertainment. He is a member of the boy group ATEEZ and the project group SPARKLING under the name Seyoung (세영).
Career[]
2018: Debut with ATEEZ[]
On October 24, Seonghwa debuted as a member of KQ Entertainment's first boy group, ATEEZ, with the release of the mini album Treasure EP.1 : All To Zero.
2020-2021: Television drama Imitation[]
On October 16, 2020, KBS’s upcoming variety drama Imitation announced its star cast of idol actors. Seonghwa played Seyoung, a member and leader of the group Sparkling. [1] The first episode aired on May 7, 2021 while the 12th and final episode aired on July 23, 2021.
Personal life[]
Grandmother's passing[]
On October 25, 2023, KQ Entertainment announced that Seonghwa's grandmother passed away on October 23, thus he will not participate in some of ATEEZ's upcoming activities in the United States.[2]
Grandfather's passing[]
On July 16, 2024, KQ Entertainment announced that Seonghwa would not be able to participate in ATEEZ's soundcheck for their Towards the Light : Will to Power Oakland concert on July 17 as his grandfather passed away the day before.[3]
