Sector 17 (stylized in all caps) is a repackage of SEVENTEEN's fourth full-length album Face the Sun. It was released on July 18, 2022 with "_World" serving as the album's title track.
The physical album comes in five versions: New Heights, New Beginning, Compact, Weverse, and Kit.
Commercial performance[]
According to YG PLUS, as of July 13, Sector 17 has already surpassed 1,200,000 stock pre-orders.[1]
The title track "_World" hit #1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in 28 regions, as well as on realtime charts for domestic music sites including Melon and Bugs. Sector 17 reached #1 on Line Music's realtime albums chart and "_World" also placed #1 on the realtime music chart. Multiple b-side tracks were ranked high on the Line Music's charts.[2]
Sector 17 sold 935,138 copies on the first day of its release alone and one million copies three days within the album's release. It's the first repackaged album to sell over one million copies in the first week.[3]
On July 30, Oricon announced that Sector 17 had debuted at #1 on their daily album chart, selling 92,958 copies on the first day of its release in Japan alone.[4]
On July 31, Billboard announced that Sector 17 had debuted at #4 on the Top 200 Albums chart, which is the group's highest ranking on the Billboard 200.[5] For the week ending on August 13, Sector 17 remained on the chart for a second consecutive week.[6]
On August 10, Sector 17 received a gold certification in Japan.[7] On September 9, it received an official platinum certification.[8]
On April 6, 2023, the Weverse version of the album received a platinum certification for surpassing 250,000 copies sold on Circle Chart.[9]
