Sakurai Miu (Korean: 사쿠라이 미우; Japanese: 櫻井 美羽) is a Japanese singer under LAPONE Entertainment. She is a member of the Japanese girl group ME:I.

She is known for being a contestant on the survival shows Nizi Project, Girls Planet 999 and Produce 101 Japan The Girls and a pre-debut member of NTeam.

Career

2020: Nizi Project, Source Music, NTeam

In January 2020, Miu appeared as a contestant on the Japanese reality survival show, Nizi Project. She was eventually eliminated in the first part of the show, in Episodes 9-10.

She later joined Source Music sometime in 2020 and started training with the pre-debut team NTeam and trained with them a year. After postponement in their debut, Miu left Source Music in early 2021.

2021: Girls Planet 999

On July 7, Miu was confirmed as an upcoming contestant on Mnet's newest reality show, Girls Planet 999, along with the other participating trainees, through the prologue trailer. Her official profile was released on July 19. In the eighth episode, which was aired on September 24, it was revealed that Miu was unfortunately eliminated.

2023: Produce 101 Japan The Girls

On September 2, 2023, the theme song for Produce 101 Japan The Girls was released, revealing that Miu will participate in the show. Her profile was released the following day. The first episode aired on October 5, 2023. In episode 11, she ranked 4th making her a member of ME:I.
