S the One (에스더원) was a South Korean cancelled pre-debut girl group under EC Ebenezer. They were scheduled to make their debut in the first half of 2012, but the plans fell through for unknown reasons.
They disbanded sometime in late 2012.

2012: Pre-debut activities, cancelled debut and disbandment[]
On February 20, 2012, it was reported that three former JQT members: Jieun, Gajin and Minjeong had signed exclusively with EC Ebenezer to debut in their girl group S the One.[1] The following day, EC Ebenezer announced that they had signed a contract with Konvict Muzik to bring S the One into the US music market and announced two newly recruited members for the group: Dayoung and Yeonju. With this, they announced plans to release their first album in the US in March 2012.[2]
In March 2012, it was announced that S the One would be holding their first showcase in Japan on the 16th, before advancing into Asia, as well as the US and Europe in the future. It was also reported that they are preparing to release the album within the first half of 2012 in Korea.[3] During their showcase in Japan, they performed a total of four songs from their debut album, including "Die For Me" and "What the F".
In June 2012, S the One announced that they were going on a tour in Asia, starting from July 19 in Bangkok (Thailand), followed by Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia.[4] The same month, S the One was reported to have been invited to perform as the opening act at 6 of the stops at T-Pain and Qwes Kross's upcoming world tour, Welcome to My World - Promo Tour 2012-2013, in August.[5][6]
By late 2012, the group became inactive and was assumed to have disbanded.
Aftermath:[]
- Dayoung re-debuted in the girl group ZZBest in 2015. After their disbandment, she changed her stage name to Dain and re-debuted in Six Bomb. Since Six Bomb's disbandment, she has been working as a yoga teacher.[7]
- The remaining members have since left the entertainment industry and focused on their personal lives.
