SOE (소이) was a cancelled girl group under WEUS Entertainment. They presumably disbanded after all their social media accounts were deactivated.
Their group name SOE is an acronym for "some other expression".
History[]
Pre-debut[]
On April 22, 2023, WEUS Entertainment announced that they are holding auditions for a new girl group, which at the time was temporarily named WEUS Girlz.
On August 20, 2023, WEUS Entertainment opened an Instagram account for their upcoming girl group, SOE, and revealed its first two members: Arisa and Hyojin.[1][2]
The third member, Heesu, was revealed through an Instagram story on October 21, 2023.
An official introduction post was released on October 26, 2023.[3] On November 25, they introduced the group's fourth member Seungwon. [4]
On December 28, 2023, they introduced the group's fourth member Hanna and replied to a fan that Seungwon did not sign an exclusive contract.[5]
Sometime in April 2024, Heesu's posts were removed from the group's Instagram page and she re-opened her Instagram, seemingly confirming her departure from the group.
On May 13, 2024, via the group's Instagram story new member Seoeun was introduced as the group's fourth member.
On June 26, 2024, via the group's Instagram story new member Kiki was introduced.
On October 8, 2024, via the group's Instagram story Heesu was revealed to be returning to the group, and also introduced the group's new member Seoyoung.
On October 9, 2024, via the group's Instagram story new member Yeseo was introduced.
From October 11, 2024, Individual "Debut Member - Visual Photo" posts of the members have been made periodically, seemingly confirming the final lineup.
On December 10, 2024, the Instagram account for the group was deactivated without warning, hinting that their debut plans were cancelled.[6]
