SMTOWN Live 2022 : SMCU Express@Kwangya was a live concert held on January 1, 2022, by SM Entertainment. Similar to the 2021 new-year online concert SMTOWN Live "Culture Humanity", the concert was broadcasted free of charge online through various streaming platforms.
Background[]
On December 10, 2021, SM announced the launch of their comprehensive content project titled SMTOWN 2022 : SMCU Express. The project would include the winter album 2021 Winter SMTOWN : SMCU Express, a media art exhibition, as well as a free-to-watch live online concert to held on January 1, 2022.[2] This was also the first concert to be broadcasted live on the new livestreaming platform Beyond LIVE.[3] On January 24, Beyond LIVE and U+ Idol Live announced the concert will be re-streamed on January 29, 2022.
