SHINee World V is the second world tour by SHINee. The first show was held on September 2, 2016, at Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, South Korea.
Background[]
On June 22, 2016, SM Entertainment announced that SHINee would embark on their fifth concert tour in September of that year.[1] Due to a high demand in tickets, a third Seoul concert was added.[2]
On September 30, three shows in Yokohama, Japan were added. This marks the first time the group held a concert in Japan outside of a Japan tour since 2010.[3]
On February 3, 2017, a show in Hong Kong was announced.[4] Two weeks later, four North American shows - two in the United States and two in Canada - were announced.[5] This marks the first time the group held a solo concert in the continent since their debut.
On May 8, 2017, a show in Bangkok, Thailand was announced.[6]
