SEVENTEEN World Tour 'Ode to You' is the second world tour by SEVENTEEN, which began with three shows from August 30 to September 1, 2019 at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea.
History[]
The tour was first announced by both SEVENTEEN and the representatives of Pledis Entertainment on June 24, 2019 through a poster which revealed, that it would begin on August 30 with over three concerts in Olympic Park's KSPO Dome.
Later, on June 28 the group uploaded on their official social media accounts the second tour poster which confirmed the dates of the shows in Japan. The leg visited four cities in the country, exactly Osaka, Aichi, Yokohama and Chiba between October 9 and November 9, 2019.
On August 27, just 3 days before the beginning of the tour, SEVENTEEN announced the second half of its Asian leg, which was set to run from November 16, 2019 to February 22, 2020 in four cities across Southeast Asia, in this case Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila and Kuala Lumpur.
On October 1, the group confirmed the dates of the tour's North American leg, which began on January 10, 2020 and was concluded on January 23 of the same year. It spawned 9 shows New Jersey, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, San Jose and Seattle. Their January 17 performance in Mexico City marked the first time the group held a solo concert in South America.
On November 6, SEVENTEEN announced another stop of the tour, exactly in Taipei, which was set to take place on February 29, 2020.
On November 16, members S.Coups and Jeonghan withdrew from performing with the group in Jakarta due to detoriating health.
On November 18, it was announced by Pledis Entertainment through a statement that S.Coups is going to take a break due to mental health issues, which led him to be absent for the rest of the tour, starting from the November 23 show in Bangkok.
On December 9, the group confirmed the dates of the tour's final European leg, which was set to run from March 3 to 10, 2020 with shows in Madrid, Paris, London and Berlin.
On January 16, 2020, Pledis Entertainment released a short statement, which confirmed that member The8 would be absent from the show Mexico City due to health concerns.
On January 21, Pledis Entertainment announced that member Jun would miss out the show in San Jose due to a common cold.
On February 9, 2020, Pledis Entertainment announced the cancellation of the shows in Kuala Lumpur and Taipei, as well as the whole European leg of the tour on SEVENTEEN's official Twitter account due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
